Gary Lord teaching our Metallic foil workshop Metallic Foils...Reflective Illusions is our newest workshop! Metallics are becoming more integral in the design and decorative painting fields. These metallic foils are easy to apply and offer extremely high production rates versus traditional gold leafing techniques. The foils will not tarnish, do not need to be sealed, and are virtually indestructible. They can be installed with none of the mess of traditional leafing. You will learn the use of these foils in wall finishes where the foil is applied first, in the middle, and last in the decorative painting process. You will also see the benefits of using the foils on detailed moldings, wood trim, furniture, and in murals. Metallic paint cannot offer the shine of these foils, and the cost is very low compared to metallic paint or leafing products. This Gary Lord workshop is a three day workshop with ten completed, layered metallic foil finishes. The only prerequisite is that you are a current, practicing faux finisher in the field.
