Dear Martin,
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to you and your staff at the Decorative Finishes Studio. I took my first class with you in August of 2001. I was expecting to learn some fabulous finishes, of course, and to expand my portfolio. I never thought I would walk away with so much more. I truly believe that your class changed my career. It took me from an already established residential faux artist to one of the most sought after faux and mural painters in my area. You know I'm not patting myself on the back, because you've seen it happen all the time with your former students.
I have learned more than just a couple of paint recipes from taking your classes. I learned how to treat my painting as a business and make it grow. The finishes alone have gotten my foot into so many doors, but you taught how to KEEP a client as well. Your support system is unbelievable! I feel like everyone that has ever taken a class with you is there holding my hand every time I start a job! If I ever have a question an answer is just an email away.
Since August of 2001 (2 years ago) let me tell you how fast my business has grown. I have completed a number of murals for Primo's Restaurant in Indep. Missouri, I have designed and finished a couple of restaurants in Kansas City, Missouri, I have won awards for Distinctive Design in model homes, and just very recently I have been featured in the national publication "Decorate With Paint" Could I have done that on my own? Not even a little bit!
I feel very proud of what I have accomplished so far, and if I stick with you I can only imagine what lies ahead. I just wanted to thank you for what you have done for me, I truly did not expect any of this!
