Cindy Everett, of Olive Branch, MS owns and operates Designer Finishes Studio. Cindy started her business in 2000, and strives to stay on the cutting edge of new products and techniques. From her studio, she has developed many of her own custom furniture finishes. Through creative experimentation, Cindy has taken her original furniture finishes and applied them to cabinetry. She is at the top of her game and is considered the "Cabinet Queen" among her peers in the industry and is highly sought after by her clientele.

Though Cindy initially pursued a career in the accounting field, she gave up her executive career to pursue her true passion and devote herself full time to her love of art. Her interest in decorative arts began at a very young age. She was only 12 when she was commissioned to paint animated doughnut people on the glass façade of a local doughnut shop. In her early twenties she owned and operated a part-time arts & crafts business with her mother creating hand-painted clothing and home décor. It was then that Cindy started re-vamping old garage sale furniture finds.

Cindy has combined her love of painted furniture with a successful career as a faux finish artist, decorator, entrepreneur and teacher specializing in furniture finishing and kitchen cabinet remodeling. She has trained extensively with Martin Alan Hirsch and many other industry masters, including Melanie Royals.

Cindy is a member of Stencil Artisans League International. She won Best of Show at the 2002 Mid South Living Home & Garden Show

Martin Alan Hirsch continues his quest to contract with the best instructors to guest teach at The Faux Finish School. He is excited to have Cindy Everett join the list of such talents. . The only prerequisite is that you are a current, practicing finisher in the field. Lunches will be catered during the five day workshop. Do not miss the opportunity to study with one of the nation's finest cabinet finishers...Cindy Everett.

    Dear Cindy,
I wanted to express my most sincere thanks and appreciation for the incredible learning experience you provided me with in your March 2007 Designer Cabinetry/Furniture Workshop. I knew if I wanted to expand my business into the growing industry of high-end custom cabinetry/furniture that I wanted to learn from you, and I must say it was an extraordinary opportunity! You are an excellent instructor, with a thorough working knowledge of products and techniques and made them user friendly to all of us. The tips you shared with us from your years of experience are invaluable tools. You provided me with not only a multitude of beautiful, versatile, and impressive finishes, but the tools and knowledge and confidence required to expand my business within this industry! The workshop was so enjoyable! Everyone bonded so well despite being virtual strangers at the start and having less than a week together, this was due to the positive, creative, yet fun environment you created within the classroom! Thank you even after class completion for your continued support, and generous sharing of knowledge! You inspired me and provided me with the tools to reach my goals! I look forward to attending any additional classes you may teach in the future!
    Sincerely,
    Sharon Mitolo
