Drifting and Veined Marbles

Continuing to build from faux finishing lessons learned on day three...students learn and practice key elements of realistic marble faux finishing....the art of dry brushing. Verde Antico, White Carrara, and full-scale faux finished wall marbles are completed on this day. Clearcoat sheen levels and application methods are discussed and practiced. Students return to the hotel to prepare for dinner....A three hour discussion and summation: "The Business of Faux Finishing and Decorative Painting".

A white marble with soft veins of bluish-gray drifting throughout. Sometimes a little yellow according to the age of marble. Used for centuries on statues, floors, and steps.
