This class will benefit the decorative painter and the beginning artist who are combining and mixing their own colors by providing the necessary information on color combinations, color theory and controlling color. Students will learn how to properly mix and use colors which is important for all decorative artists. Students will be making their own Color wheel, Color Value Chart, Neutral Color Chart, Complementary Colors, Various exercises in Color Schemes, and Color + Charts.

Your instructor for this workshop is Fran Fens. Fran's extensive knowledge of murals and historical finishes originates from her teaching experience in Studio Art, Art History and 30+ years as an artist. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a teaching certification in Studio Art. Specializing in paint finishes for walls, floors, ceilings and furniture, Fran creates professional decorative painting and faux finishing for the home and office.

Her repertoire includes wall glazes such as marbling, murals, stenciling, and trompe l'oeil. Fran combines her faux painting knowledge with her fine arts background to make this workshop a "color theory experience" one will never forget!
