Cindy Everett, of Olive Branch, MS owns and operates Designer Finishes Studio. Cindy started her business in 2000, and strives to stay on the cutting edge of new products and techniques. From her studio, she has developed many of her own custom furniture finishes. Through creative experimentation, Cindy has taken her original furniture finishes and applied them to cabinetry. She is at the top of her game and is considered the "Cabinet Queen" among her peers in the industry and is highly sought after by her clientele.
Though Cindy initially pursued a career in the accounting field, she gave up her executive career to pursue her true passion and devote herself full time to her love of art. Her interest in decorative arts began at a very young age. She was only 12 when she was commissioned to paint animated doughnut people on the glass façade of a local doughnut shop.
In her early twenties she owned and operated a part-time arts & crafts business with her mother creating hand-painted clothing and home décor. It was then that Cindy started re-vamping old garage sale furniture finds.
Cindy has combined her love of painted furniture with a successful career as a faux finish artist, decorator, entrepreneur and teacher specializing in furniture finishing and kitchen cabinet remodeling.
She has trained extensively with Martin Alan Hirsch and many other industry masters, including Melanie Royals.
Cindy is a member of Stencil Artisans League International. She won Best of Show at the 2002 Mid South Living Home & Garden Show
