From: Stacie Burkhard New Brenen, Ohio To: Martin Alan Hirsch Date: Friday, July 20, 1999 Dear Martin, Words cannot begin to express my heartfelt thanks to you and your staff. As I look at the angel fresco chip-away you taught me to create, I am in awe. It's just awesome. I hadn't realized the full potential in myself and fulfillment in a career in faux finishing, until I took your class. It was a spiritual time, because I got to know myself. I know now, without a shadow of a doubt, what I am supposed to be doing. You gave me the confidence and courage to help others make their homes become their "castles". What a wonderful gift you have given me. Your gift keeps on giving through myself and all of the others who have taken your class. I came across this quote and it instantly brought you to mind. "If you have a talent, use it in everyway possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire, intent on going broke." Brendan Francis. Thank you for being that "millionaire", for caring enough about the "little people" to open your studio and give 200% of yourself, so that we could fulfill our dreams. Your honesty and wisdom in this field are unsurpassed. When I signed up for the first class at the Faux Finish School, I had no idea that I would come away with so much. I have since returned for your advanced curriculum. It was as powerful as the first class!!! Thanks again, Stacie Burkhard |
